The Journey

The story began with two people who realised they loved each other and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. To express this love for one another they made a declaration infront of God, family and friends, pledging to love unconditionally! What a day it was for those of you who went through this path. And as time passed by many of you took the next step of expressing your love for each other and everybody got to hear of the wonderful new, "We are expecting!" As you travelled through this journey, they were "many unknows" but the beautiful outcome was it's a girl or it's a boy! Life could never have been more amazing and satisfying as you first recieved your title of being called a mother or father. The precious, tiny human being placed on your hands fully dependent on you, what a trust. You had to learn to nature, love and enjoy your new gift. All this tells of one important principle. Your relationship was founded on love and the most amazing thing is that children are an expression of your love!As the Lord works in my heart, He revealed this powerful principle. Children are an expression of your love for each other! By carrying your baby you were actually saying "yes, i love you my husband and i want to be a mother of your children".On the other hand the husband was also saying"yes i love you my wife, l want to be a father of your children". You spoke the same language of love, you promised to be there for each other and for this precious "gift!" You know, i looked very closely at the  children, and as those words echoed in my mind  tears just welled up in my eyes as i thought deeply, this is how much i love my husband and this is how much he loves me!Today i ask that you take a look at your child/children and think of the vow you made on that "special day" as you promised to love unconditionally!
"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man, so are childrenof the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them;they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate".Psalms 127v3-5
