Ticks-our spring's favorite bug!
Taking a walk with friends who were visiting from the city, we made our way to the nearby lake. It was summer time and we had been working in the garden prior. I kept on feeling something on my thigh as I walked, until I thought of checking what was really bothering me so. Upon lifting up my dress, there it was! It was a TICK!!!!My worst nightmare!I screamed and called my husband and begged him to take it away. Please take it away! was all i could say. Startled our friends feared the worst as i was also expecting at that time. When the frightening experience was over that incident was the talk of the day! So much for those little red looking things called ticks!!!
Patience
No earthly parent could be as patient with the faults of his children,as is God with those He seeks to save.No human lips ever poured out more tender entreaties to the wanderer than does He. All His promises,His warnings, are but the breathing of untterable love.

What unconditional love. Romans 5v says" But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us..Lord help me to be patient, to love the sinner as you have loved me.I breathe this prayer as I ask him to search my heart and give me love in preparation for my work-to have unconditional love. The lord "..hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.....and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2Corinthians5v18-19
Do our words bring the wanderer near to his redeemer? When there is no willingness, when the heart is not surrendered- are we willing to speak those words of love , of reconciliation.( that is without self getting in the way). Its my prayer Lord help to die to self, help me to draw the heart nearer to you.
Stay blessed

Only By God's Spirit
Shall we consider that we are capable of fashioning our lives and characters to enter into the portals of glory? We cannot do it. We are dependent every moment upon the Spirit of God operating upon us and our children.

These words has been very encouraging to me, especially when there is struggle of the will. I start to think that i am not working alone and so it gives me hope and more patience. All of heaven is interested in my children and I, what amazing grace!!! Amen.

Influence
Every act of life, however unimportant, has its influence in forming the character. A good character is more precious than worldly possessions, and the work of forming it is the most NOBLEST in which men can engage.

What's Your Take?
Here is a scenario: A family was visiting and the mother had brought some baked goods to share. It also happened that her daughter started complaining of hunger. The mother concerned offered her daughter a cake that the hostess had served her visitors. The daughter refused and demanded the baked goods her mother had brought for the other family. As expected the daughter started crying and left the room. The conversation with the adults did not stop until after some time it was realized that the little girl was still crying. Upon this realization the mother called the little girl, she looked at her and immediately her tone of voice changed. In a more stern hoarse voice she told her daughter to stop crying with immediate effect.. The hostess then said it was okay she could have what she wanted . Given the food, the child was quiet and happily eating.
I, by no means do not intend to put down the mother or any of the involved persons. But upon thinking about this scenario over and over, there were so many lessons learnt. And above it all, I saw myself. I am more interested in your comments. As we are somehow talking about character building, i want to hear your analysis on this scenario. Did the mother, hostess, and the little girl do what was right.
Please post your comments
