Here is a scenario: A family was visiting and the mother had brought some baked goods to share. It also happened that her daughter started complaining of hunger. The mother concerned offered her daughter a cake that the hostess had served her visitors. The daughter refused and demanded the baked goods her mother had brought for the other family. As expected the daughter started crying and left the room. The conversation with the adults did not stop until after some time it was realized that the little girl was still crying. Upon this realization the mother called the little girl, she looked at her and immediately her tone of voice changed. In a more stern hoarse voice she told her daughter to stop crying with immediate effect.. The hostess then said it was okay she could have what she wanted . Given the food, the child was quiet and happily eating.
I, by no means do not intend to put down the mother or any of the involved persons. But upon thinking about this scenario over and over, there were so many lessons learnt. And above it all, I saw myself. I am more interested in your comments. As we are somehow talking about character building, i want to hear your analysis on this scenario. Did the mother, hostess, and the little girl do what was right.
Please post your comments
God Bless.
